Dr. Manns has set aside special time throughout the week to help make sure you stay as healthy as possible. Call today to schedule your appointment to receive a complementary spinal exam . The exam would include a scan of your nervous system, muscle system and a check to see if your spine has the full range of movement. These services would be at no charge to you. Those of you who are new patients have already experienced this examination process as part of your initial examination.  Some of our current patients have also experienced this examination when they got their update re-examination.  Eventually, all of our patients will have these procedures done as their re-examinations are performed.  Below is an explanation of each part of this examination and the significance of these procedures in monitoring and correcting your subluxations.

The Insight Millennium examination first consists of a Thermal (heat reading) examination.  This procedure checks the spine on either side from bottom to top for heat differences.  These heat differences help indicate how your body is regulating circulation.  The nervous system is the primary controller of circulation which is a good indication of body function.  Subluxations can play a major part in changing function and therefore circulation.  By monitoring heat along the spine you get a good means of measuring the effects of subluxation and the progress made toward correction with chiropractic.

The second component of the examination process is Surface  Electromyography, called SEMG .  The SEMG measures the amount of electrical current in the muscles.  This monitors how well the motor nerves are working.  Subluxations interfere with these nerves and affect the readings of the SEMG.  By performing regular SEMG examinations and comparing the results, you can tell how well your chiropractic care is correcting the nervous system interference due to subluxations.

The third part of the Insight Millennium examination is a Spinal Range of Motion examination.  For this test, a high tech inclinometer is used to make readings.  This instrument is placed on your spine in several areas and readings are taken as you perform various motions.  The inclinometer reads the position of your spine and records it into the computer.  Spinal motion is also affected by subluxations.  As your subluxations are corrected, spinal motion should become more normal.  Comparisons of periodic exams will help monitor spinal progress in the correction of your subluxations.

Children and pregnant women will probably benefit the most from this new examination.  These groups of patients, and any other patients who may not receive x-rays now have a reliable examination procedure that can be used to help monitor their progress.

Subluxations affect nerve system function.  The Insight Millennium examination is the best technology available to monitor changes in function due to subluxations.  As your care continues, we will be performing these examinations with the Insight Millennium to monitor your care.

Our goal is to use the most modern chiropractic technology available to help you in your quest for a higher quality of life.
